Lotus Exige US Debut at Bullrun 2006

Bullrun, Car News — By on July 17, 2006 at 9:14 am — No Comments

For once, a car company gets it right and designs a car with the true enthusiast in mind. A bare-bones, performance machine, yielding only 190hp, yet reaches 0-60 in an impressive 4.6 second. Everything about the Exige screams performance. If it isn’t needed or adds to the performance, Lotus got rid of it. With its new body, unique from its sister (the Elise) which includes a longer, reshaped nose, rear wing, front splitter and roof with intake. These changes add about 90lbs of downforce (compared to the Elise’s 12lbs) at 100mph, giving the Exige superior handling and stability around any track or roadway. While only 300 of the Lotus Exige’s will likely see their way to America, you can surely bet that those drivers looking for a true “performance machine… finally have something to smile about.
