Bert & Ernie reporting from St Petersburg
The arrival of the Challengers in St Petersburg yesterday was one big party. A lot of newspapers and tv stations were present to announce the arrival of the Challengers to the Russian public. After the great entry the challengers had at the Grand Europe hotel it was time for the black-tie gala dinner at a castle! For most Challengers it was a highlight of the rally. After dinner some of the teams went to one of St Petersburgs hottest nightclubs called Maghreb. Team Bert & Ernie has to pick up the Porsche and the registration documents in Riga tomorrow so they could party the night away. After the party they went back to the hotel and found some of the Challengers including the playmates at the bar.
Today they found out DHL might be closed in Riga tomorrow so they may have to wait till monday to get their car documents, meaning they will miss the final party of the Challenge saturday night. Bert & Ernie said they will build their own party where ever they go so we have no doubt they will have a great time!
