Gumball 3000 founder Maximilian Cooper send the new and former Gumballers a new update about the Gumball 3000, including the dates of Gumball parties this year:
Hi Gumballers (new and old!),
Thanks to everyone that made it to Donington Park race circuit over the Easter weekend – it was great to see some old Gumballers there – and amazingly everyone managed to keep their cars off the grass! with this years rally just a few weeks away I thought I should give you all a heads up on some dates for your diaries.
The “big” pre rally party this year is on Saturday 28th April, at the Trocadero, Piccadilly Circus, in Central London – we’ve got some great bands and DJs playing. It’s a chance for all Gumballers to catch up with each other, prior to Sundays huge start on Pall Mall.
This year we’ve closed off 2km of Central London – from Trafalgar Square to Park Lane all of Sunday – and all 120 cars taking part in the rally will be on display from 1pm. We’ll also have sponsors stands, a Gumball merchandise shop and a ‘paddock’ for 40 display cars on Waterloo Place (just down from Piccadilly Circus).
So even if you’re not taking part in the rally this time – it’ll be a great day out – especially if you’ve got kids.
On top of this, and of course all of the parties during the rally, we have a couple of pre-rally parties in London and Moscow, and several parties to follow during the summer in London and St. Tropez.
