The manufacturers of the CAV GT have secured rights to finish their car in the famous Gulf Oil Livery that was born with the legendary GT40 in the late sixties. The timing could not have been better with the 2008 Le Mans 24 hour race being the 40th anniversary of Gulf Oil’s first victory at Le Mans in a GT40.
The CAV Ford GT Gulf car will be 500 bhp version of the car, complete with Gulf flare rear wheel arches, period BRM rims, Weber IDF carburetors, nubuck leather interior with subtle Gulf logos on the seats and 5-point safety harnesses.
The CAV GT is will be running on the Ford V8 small block which enables the sprint from 0 – 62 mph (100 khm) in about 4.5 seconds. For high-res pictures and discussion, visit our forum!
