In 2005 the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 has been presented as the “world fastest car” doing 407 km/h (253 mph). Then in 2007 a supercar from the US, the SSC Ultimate Aero TT set the speed record at 413,83 km/h (257 mph) and was given the crown.
