We should almost say there are as many German tuners as rain-drops falling down on a cold autumn day. But each one of them want’s to improve the best. This time PPI Automotive Design has created a package for the Audi R8. In fact they are willing to produce the PPI R8 and it’s ‘bigger’ brother the PPI R8 Razor.
Power has increased from 420 bhp to 460 bhp together with a raise from 317 Nm to 343 Nm of torque. Thanks to this powerincrease and the sport air filter unit, the topspeed of the R8 is now settled at 192 mph (307 kmh). The 0-62 mph (100 kmh) sprint is improved by six-tenths to an impressive 4.0 seconds.
With a ground effects kit built entirely of carbon fibre, and super-lightweight 19″ black, magnesium wheels, the two cars have a look that separates them from the stock R8, but don’t have the eye-catching effect as some other tuners did to the R8.
PPI also offers their carbonfibre aerodynamics with glossy and matte finishes, so the buyer has at least some opportunity to customize the final look. Included in this package are a front lip spoiler, which lets the front brakes breathe while reducing lift. Front bumper air intakes fit into the original body and improve front radiator and brake cooling. A new adjustable wing rear spoiler is also included. Side sills, side blades, diffuser, rear grill round out the exterior mods. Inside, PPI has changed the handbrake, door plates, and the instrument panel, offcourse, also in carbonfibre.
