Iconic GTR Roadster

The American company, Iconic Motors, isn’t very-well known over here in Europe. But that might change soon, because they claim to have a supercar weighing only 1100 kg and producing 800 bhp. They call it the Iconic GTR and it’s going in production! A first look at the nose of the car makes us think of a Morgan Aero 8, and when we are honest, that’s not the best looking sportscar out there! When walking along side the car towards the back we can recognize a Ford Cobra.

The promissed 800 bhp are produced by a brand new 6.9 liter V8. That giant V8 needs a strong bodywork, that’s why the GTR is for 80% based on a F1 car. The sprint to 62 mph (100 kmh) is done in less than 4 seconds and the topspeed is 200 mph (320 kmh).

The official presentation was last weekend on the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. The total production of the Iconic GTR is aimend on 100 pieces. A price is not know yet, but we can fear for the worst…!
