After the official presentation on the Geneva Motorshow nobody was sure if the more than amazing Aston Martin V12 Vantage RS would make it into production. But if we believe dutch car magazine Autovisie the fastest Aston Martin will go in production somewhere late next year and only as very limited edition.

Just to refresh your mind, the RS version is based on the standard V8, but as the name suggest nothing stayed the same. The engine changed to a 6,0 liter V12 engine producing nothing less than 600 bhp and 900 Nm of torque. The baby-Aston has grown up and will sprint to 62 mph (100 kmh) in less than 4 seconds and the topspeed will be above 200 mph (320 kmh).
Aston Martin DBS Volante

Next to this stunning news, Aston Martin also confirmed the production of the DBS Volante. The 007 Aston Martin will be available with soft-top in the of summer 2009. Strange to say, that the bigger brother of the Vantage will ‘only’ have 512 bhp, but we believe that’ll be enough to enjoy the owners! With all this news we can only say that Aston Martin makes the future something to look forward to!
