Porsche denies rumours about baby Cayenne and 928-sucessor

About two weeks ago we told you about a baby Porsche Cayenne that got spied on the road. Now Porsche marketing executive Klaus Berning told Auto Motor und Sport that we shouldn’t expect to see any major model launches. He explained that executives haven’t discussed adding a smaller SUV model positioned below the Cayenne. What he also denied are the rumors of a new coupe model based on the Panamera, a potential successor to the original 928 GT.

This may explain why Porsche is concentrating on the successful launch of the new four-door and is already stretched to its limit. He told us that Porsche want to sell 100,000 pieces of the Panamera every year…
