Porsche Panamera: production starts next April

It has been rather quite for a while now around the Porsche 4-door saloon. Might be because of the successfull introduction of the 997 GT2 or troubles with the possible hybrid engine? Anyway, today we found out that the Panamera will go into production next April, and that’s about time if you ask us. Porsche is planning to produce 20,000 pieces per year.
The Panamera will be available with a choice between a 3.6 liter V6 producing 300 bhp, a 4.8 liter V8 running on 405 bhp or a by turbo’s powered 520 bph version.
Prices are expected between € 80,000 ($ 125,250 - £ 63,500) and € 125,000 ($ 195,700 - £ 99,150). The hybrid version won’t be available before 2011, which isn’t bad as probably most of us don’t believe in hybrid supercars …
