Since business keeps on going better and better in Stuttgart, the guys from Porsche decided it was about time to refresh the looks of the 911 series. The development for this one has been in the test-statium for a long time yet because the mules got spotted last year at the Nürburgring. The updates are mostly under the hood. The Carrera and Carrera S get a new seven-speed automatic gearbox together with a new direct-fuel-injection system. This new gearbox replaces the old one and makes it possible to change gear without losing tranction or power.

The 3.6 liter boxerengine in the Carrera gets 20 bhp more which results in a total output of 345 bhp. The sprint from standstill to 62 mph (100 kmh) is now covered in 4.7 seconds, under the magic 5 seconds barrier. The Carrera S get’s 30 extra bhp turning out in 385 bhp. The sprint to 62 mph (100 kmh) is a fact in 4,3 seconds with a topspeed of 188 mph (300 kmh).
At the exterior we see led-lights at the front aswell as at the end. And to make everybody a bit happy, the guys from Porsche also though about our environment with an average fuel consumption of 9.8 liter per 62 miles (100 km).
