2008 Goodwood Festival of Speed Roundup

As Goodwood 2008 finished last Sunday, I thought it was only right to do a round-up of the weekends events. Many of our communities members visited the three day event, but overall Friday seemed to be most popular, with almost every member getting in there early to see the motoring spectacle. The top timed run of the event happened on the Sunday when Justin Law set a blistering time of 44.19 seconds in the Silk Cut Jaguar beating his own fastest time set on the Saturday of the event.

The festival of speed however is not just about the time of the runs. Events throughout the weekend aim to entertain all manner of automotive tastes. This years show encorperated the best of all areas of automotive entertainment with most cars taking to the hill to set times, others entered into the concours competition, the static displays of entrants and the displays from many popular entertainers such as Dougie Lampkin whho managed to end up on the roof of Goodwood house on his motorbike.
