ASMA ‘Perfectus’ SLR

ASMA, Car News, McLaren, Mercedes, Tuning News — By on January 19, 2009 at 4:20 pm — 7 Comments

Although theres finally an end in sight for the Mercedes McLaren SLR production run a number of tuning companies are still coming out with far out modifications for the flagship model. We saw RENNtech’s model last week, now we give you the ASMA perfectus, designed for the Abu Dhabi royal family and offered to cutomers for a cool €1 million. We’ve never reported on any of the German company’s products, however it’s design traits include incredibly elongated front grilles and very ‘loud’ styling.

The perfectus SLR is no different, the wild bodykit consists of modifications and changes for the front grille, front bumper, side sills, extended rear fenders, a rear boot lip and a new rear bumper with integrated air diffuser. Black alloys are also included. The engine modifications include an uprated supercharger, a high-flow catalytic converter, new ASMA racing mufflers, and a retuned ECU. This all combines for a new power figure of around 700bhp, enough for a 0-62mph (0-100kph) time of 3.5 seconds and a terminal speed of 217mph (350kph), despite the drastic aero modifications. The name has to be ironic because perfectus is not a word we would decide to use for this car!
