After the presentation of the facelifted 911 series for the Carrera 4, Targa, … and several spyshots on the 911 GT3 RS it’s no surprise that Porsche now shows their facelifted GT3. This one will be shown at the Geneva Motor Show, next March. First cars will be ready for delivery in May in Europe, October for the USA, against a base price of about € 117,000.

As we knew from before the reviewed GT3 get’s more power, 20 horses to be exact which brings the output to total of 435 bhp. That extra power is gained by changes in the displacement of the 3.8 liter engine as well as the torque that got boosted up. All this results in a sprint from standstill to 62 mph (100 kmh) in just 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 195 mph (312kmh).

More power asks for better handling, therefore the engineers have modified the PSM stability management system to give the car more flexibility offering options as Stability Control (SC) and Traction Control (TC) in separate steps. To not take away maximum driving pleasure, these controls are activated by the driver him- /herself. Then offcourse the looks get accentuated by the new bi-xenon headlights, LED rear lights and offcourse the air intakes and outlets.

For the real track drivers, the GT3 will be available with a set of newly developed PADM (Porsche Active Drivetrain Mount) engine bearings. These special engine mounts automatically recognise hard-style driving, and adjust the normally elastic engine suspension and bracing to a firmer setting.
