Spyker gave us a preview of the Aileron at last years Geneva Auto Salon now there going to show us what it looks like topless. We can exclusively reveal to you that the 2009 Geneva Auto Salon will be the stage for the release of this new convertible concept and fresh rumours popping up of re-entering the world of formula one in place of the Honda team!

Many other websites are talking as well about the emergence of a production ready version of the Aileron. It will feature an Audi 4.2-liter V8 with 400hp and 354lb-ft of torque. A choice of either a Getrag six-speed manual or ZF auto-box will deliver power and will have a curb weight of just over 3,100 pounds. The Aileron will hit 62mph (100kph) in 4.5 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 187mph. The picture above is a teaser supposedly released for the Geneva Show.

  1. Dude, you don’t know what you are talking about!

Spyker will NEVER buy the Honda F1 team. They have learned from their mistakes and will not enter Formula 1 again. Maybe in 30 years time when they are an established firm and earn money.

Spyker already confirmed that the production version of the C8 Aileron will be in Geneva, and that’s what this teaser is about.

There will be a C8 Aileron Spyder in the long run, but it is not sure if this car will be in Geneva. It can also be introduced (as a concept) at another show.

Spyker is planning however to start racing with the C8 Aileron in GT2 in 2010.
