After the unveiling of the original ‘Razor’ Audi R8 at the Essen Motor Show at the end of last year, German tuner PPI has unveiled more information an aggressive version of the car along with confirmation that the final production version will be unveiled at the Top Marques in Monaco on thursday.

The GTR designation is the name of the package enhancing the power-to-weight ratio of the Audi R8 by boosting power and reducing weight. The hart of the package is the specially engineered supercharger. A ram-charged sports air filter system and a high performance exhaust system add up to the GTR-upgrade which delivers 650hp (427kw) and 600Nm of torque.

The weight has been reduced with 250kg up to 1,580kg enabling a sprint from 0 to 100kmh in only 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 332kmh.

Exterior changes improve the aerodynamics of the car. Parts like a new front bumper, diffuser, side skirts and hood are made from carbon fiber and ensure the Razor sticks to the tarmac.

Different alloy wheels are part of the package. You can get extra-wide 19 inch forged alloy wheels wrapped with 325mm Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires in the rear and 255mm sets up front. Behind the rims you will find new six-piston calipers all around and 380mm discs up front and 356mm units in the rear. The package is completed with a hydraulically adjustable suspension kit rasing the car when needed.

GTspirit will be at Top Marques to cover the event, so stay tuned this week for more information.
