Audi R8 Convertible On Sale In 2011?

Audi insiders have confirmed to the automotive website ‘WhatCar?’ there will be a convertible version of the Audi R8. The details are not complete at this moment. The newly developed supercar should reach the showrooms in 2011 and will be equipped with a full-length convertible roof made of fabric.

There is no confirmation whether the R8 Cabriolet will use the V8 or V10 engine from the car’s current line-up. There is also no word on prices, but we don’t think you’re likely to see much differences from the current price range.
