Geneva 2010: AC Cars Magnesium Chassis Prototype

AC Cars Magnesium Chassis Prototype

AC Cars will display an electric city car concept with a lightweight magnesium frame at the Geneva Motor Show next week. The whole structure including the magnesium chassis frame with an integrated rollcage weights only 67kg. The technology is to state what is possible. The company will try to showcase the low-weight setup to other car manufacturers.

Not only the vehicle on the pictures uses the magnesium technology. AC Cars is also using the technology to develop a chassis for “a more sporty” car.
