How many people have the option to buy their beloved sports car? Not a lot. In some cases people wait until the money reaches their pockets or they just build their own. The following passionate motorist from Armenia, Matevossian, built his own personal Maserati supercar at home.
Matevossian started his project in 1985 and finished it in 2007. He changed his design several times to give his car a “sporty” look. The basic setup holds an engine, gearbox and rear suspension from a real 1984 Maserati BiTurbo V6 2 liter with 200hp to power the car. The kit car also features a five-speed manual transmission, Weber carburetor, control unit for the turbines, altered WHA front suspension and steering wheel of a Toyota with a booster.

dude that thing is UGLY!!!!
omg i just jizzed this is the hottest car i have ever seen!!
Well, he did it by himself totally – hardly a overkill and who here could do even that by himself? :D
Hardly overkill. When I see a posting like this, all I can think about is the resilience of people who build cars like this. Sure the photos make the entire car look quite distorted and all but to be honest, I think he will appreciate this vehicle much more than if he ever bought one.
I totally agree this does not belong in overkill…..to me overkill is a car that started great or had the potential to be great but was screwed up beyond description by bad taste and bad judgement.
Overkill exists when looking at the before and after photos, you would take the car in the before condition.
