Did you hear about the BMW “Z” Spyder Stradale concept? We did not, however a rumour is suggesting this “Dream Project” from Norbert Reithofer will be build and will go into production in 2014.
The term Spyder Stradale is a known concept for BMW. The 1940s a streamlined version of the 328MM was given the same name. The German brand is currently using such grand emotive terms for their new concepts to state a luxurious way to travel. So resurrecting the term “Spyder Stradale” for it’s new premium high end sports car could be a possibility, according E90post.
The Spyder Stradale takes off where the Z8 left and retains an aluminium structure, the front of the car will be a mix of steel, aluminium and magnesium. For the passenger area there is an addition of a carbon fiber tub that will be bonded on the aluminium floorplan. The rear cross frames will also be carbon fibre with the rear suspension a mix of aluminium, magnesium and steel.

It seems that there’s a new game amongst car designer… drawing rims that:
a. don’t work
b. look ridiculous
two words – “wide-angle perspective”
okay, that might be three…
