This is the first official rendering of the new Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo that will make its official debut at the 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The tuner will use the 550i saloon with its V8 twin turbo producing up to 400hp as a basis. Alpina will hopefully produce more than 500hp from the same engine just by tuning it. The B7 Bi-Turbo uses a similar engine based on the 750i, which delivers 507hp. So everything is possible! If the B5 Bi-Turbo delivers 507hp, it will be same amount as the current M5.
We have to wait and see until the Goodwood Festival of Speed starts at July 1st at the British Goodwood estate. So stay tuned for more!
