First Picture: Range Rover Evoque Five-doors

Land Rover has released the first picture of the five-door Range Rover Evoque. The picture follows after the first unofficial spyshot that leaked onto the internet last week. The vehicle will be revealed at the Los Angeles Motor Show in mid-November.

Like the three-door model, two 2.2-liter turbodiesel powerplants, with 148bhp and 187bhp, are available that the start of the sales. Both of the models will have stop-start as standard when accompanied by a manual gearbox. There will also be a petrol version, using a 237bhp variant of Ford’s turbocharged 2.0 liter Ecoboost engine. Four-wheel drive and an updated six-speed automatic are availabel asl well.

On the inside several features will be available like in any other Range Rover. A panoramic roof, a dual-view TFT screen for simultaneous sat-nav and television display, 1200W stereo Meridian system with 17 speakers are available on the option list. Furthermore you can get almost any option from the Range Rover Sport option list, such as park assist, dual-zone climate control, a powered tailgate, adaptive headlights, a heated windscreen and cameras all-around the vehicle.

  1. That looks hot. Makes more sense than the 3 door version. Land Rover finally bit the bullet and made the radical swing of changing a design language that had been going strong for many decades, at least on this model.
