AMG

Mercedes-Benz power division AMG, located in Affalterbach, Germany reports that their brand new naturally aspirated 5.5 liter V8 engine won’t be used for the complete AMG line-up. The new engine will be used for the next generation SLK55 and the later this year to be presented C55 coupé.

The new power source will produce about 422bhp, which 62 horses more than the current engine in the SLK55. New technologies like a cylinder cut-off mechanism will help improve fuel consumption while sending a larger amout of power to the car’s rear wheels.
