Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4

After the official presentation of the Aventador LP700-4 in Geneva last week it has been a waiting game to see the first finished cars in action. Finally we can now show you a video of the new Lamborghini flagship starting up and revving slowly during its cold start.

To refresh your mind, which is probably a bit of a surplus, we can tell you that the Aventador comes with a 700hp strong V12 engine that makes it possible to sprint from standstill to 100km/h in just 2.9 seconds.

  1. The sound is a bit disappointing indeed, but honestly I couldn’t care less: I want one. And I’ll see for an aftermarket exhaust later.

  2. Uh Oh!

Revving with a cold engine is not good!

And the sound is quite ok. Wait 2-3k miles and it will be awesome.

Never saw a Lambo which sounded badly.

  3. So many of you guys here don’t have a clue that the mic on the phone just can’t catch proper all frequences that the engine produce. The frequency response amplify the high frequencies from all the pulleys and stuff and can’t produce the low frequency engine basse. So don’t judge from this and wait to see video with proper sound.

By the way ,@MataHari, the best way to warm up cold engine is to rev it on mid revs just like in the video.

  4. it doesn’t matter if it’s cold or not V12 engines don’t sound like that it sounded the same b4 the unveiling at Geneva and you can go back and check the testing video which was recorded professionally by Lamborghini and for the guys saying it was recorded by an iphone go on youtube and check all the videos for lambos shot by phones

  5. lambos always sound bad when you rev them on parkinglots, but when you hear it driving it to the limit it will sound alot different, better!

  6. I think many of you never heard Lambo for real. You watch that youtube videos and you think you are experts. Well, you are not. I’m not too and I know it, but at least I have some real life expirience with Lambos. Every V12 Lamborghini in the past was with ‘untweaked’ exhaust. Since Audi took over they start to put these resonance exhausts and they made the sound fake. Every aftermarket exhaust sounds better and more real than the stock. If you are Playstaytion fan you will be in love with it, but for every true petrolhead it’s just fake. Now for the first time they made exhaust that resembles Miura, Countach and Diablo. There is no resonance, it is all pure V12 noise. I like it! It’s too quiet for my taste, but it’s real.

  7. some guys are saying the mic doesn’t record the sound well, but when I watched “Lamborghini Reventón – Start Up Sound ” on Youtube, it made me sad to see this V12 sound so tame like that..

  8. @kris_vd I’m sure you meant “experience” try to use spelling check bro it makes life a bit easier lol but yes I’m originally from Dubai I’ve owned a 2005 Lamborghini Gallardo in the past and I’m now a proud owner of a 2010 R8 V10 and both of these cars sound better than this one, nobody said anything about if it was a tweaked exhaust or not all we said was that the sound is very disappointing now whether the sound is fake or not that’s a different story we might not be experts but I’m sure most if not everybody here ran into a Lamborghini or two in the past so put a lit on it bro ;)
