Bentley Turbo R to be Launched in 2013

Bentley is planning a coupe version of the Mulsanne, named the Turbo R, according to AutoExpress. Insiders have stated to the UK car magazine that the Bentley could revive the luxury vehicle.

The original Turbo R was produced from 1985 to 1994, and based on the Mulsanne Turbo with a Rolls-Royce-sourced V8 engine putting out around 350bhp.

The new version of the Turbo R would get current Mulsanne limo’s 6.75 liter V8, although power is likely to be increased from the saloon’s 510bhp to nearer 600bhp.

On the subject of the design the rendering above shows a front end identical to that of the four-door and rear doors deleted in favour of a coupe profile.

Stay tuned for more regarding the upcoming 2013 Turbo R.
