Video: New BMW F10M M5 Hits The Track

BMW M5 Testing

BMW has released a new video of the upcoming F10 M5 at the track. The BMW engineers are optimizing the new M5 even for extreme conditions which can been seen in this video.

The upcoming M5 will be powered by a 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 which is said to deliver 575 horsepower. The Germans also confirmed that they are working on a four-wheel-drive version. Regarding the transmission choices it will be available in two options: a seven-speed DCT gearbox and manual.

The new M5 is being pushed to its limits at their Miramas test facility in France. The Germans are testing the engine, suspension and transmission under the most extreme conditions. Also the steering, adaptive suspension control, the double clutch transmission and the Active M-differential are submitted to testing.

BMW calls this testing, we call it fun. Watch the video below for the meaning of BMW’s slogan ‘the joy of driving’.
