Akrapovic Experience at Portimao Circuit

Slovenian exhaust specialist Akrapovic hosted an exclusive event at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao, Portugal. The manufacturer of performance exhaust systems teamed up with the circuit and the racing school to offer us the option to experience their products, high quality exhaust systems.

The vehicles of the racing school were used for the experience and each one was outfitted with an Akrapovic exhaust system. The line-up included a Porsche 911 GT3 (FL), Porsche 911 Carrera S, 2010 Nissan GT-R, BMW E92 M3 and BMW X6 M. Other participants were also allowed to enter the challenging track with their sports cars. There was only one rule; the vehicle had to be outfitted with an Akrapovic exhaust system.

When GTspirit.com visited the track the line-up of vehicles included an additional member. A Ferrari 458 Italia was added to the grid. The prancing horse is the first ever 458 to be outfitted with a slip-on exhaust system from Akrapovic. The same vehicle was used at the Essen Motor Show 2010 and shown in the introduction video. The sound production of the new exhaust is a major improvement over the stock exhaust. The screaming V8 is music to anybody’s ears.
