Goodwood 2011: Porsche Panamera Turbo S

Goodwood 2011 Porsche Panamera Turbo S

The Porsche Panamera Turbo S makes its official debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011. The brand new, most powerful and fastest Panamera in the family of the German four-door saloon offers additional power, more torque, several driving dynamics control systems and a fuel consumption, which remains at a similar level to the Panamera Turbo.

Thanks to improved turbochargers with titanium-aluminium turbine wheels and a modified engine control, the 4.8 liter V8 biturbo which delivers 550hp. That is an increase of ten percent or 50hp compared to the already powerful engine in the Panamera Turbo. The torque increased from 700 to 750Nm. In the Sport and Sport Plus mode of the standard Sport Chrono Package Turbo and during kick-down in normal mode, the eight cylinder engine delivers fully 800Nm with the overboost function.

With the help of launch control, the Panamera Turbo S will reach 100km/h from standstill in 3.8 seconds, which is even faster than the 911 GT3 RS. The top speed is 306km/h.
