During the Moving Motor Show 2011 a week ago one of our editors took the BMW 1-Series M Coupe up the hill at the Goodwood estate. The instructor next to the GTspirit editor is a professional UK racing car driver providing some handy tips about the Goodwood hill climb track.
The hill climb is a 1.16-mile course starts as a tree-lined run through the southern corner of the Goodwood Estate which then turns to sweep past the front of Goodwood House before climbing a steep and narrow Estate road bordered by flint walls and dense woodland groves towards Goodwood’s racecourse on top of the South Downs.
Just a small recap. The 1M Coupe comes with a six-in-line twin turbo engine creating 340bhp together with 450Nm of torque. The power is derived to the wheels via a manual six-speed clutch making a sprint from standstill to 100km/h (62mph) possible in just 4.9 seconds and reach a topspeed of 250km/h (156mph) in about 30 seconds.
amazingly boring
Lovely Car. Dont be a hater.
