Every year a select group of modified supercars gather at the Nardo Highspeed Test Track to reach their ultimate top speed. This year the participants included a 9ff Porsche 911 GT3, MKB McLaren SLR, G-Power BMW M3, SpeedArt Porsche Cayenne Turbo and the MTM Audi A1. The Audi A1 looks a bit odd in this lineup, but Audi tuning specialist MTM turned it into a pocket rocket with 500hp and 600Nm of torque.

The MTM Audi A1 recorded a record speed of 324km/h, just over the magic 200 miles per hour. It did that with a turbocharged FWD Audi A1 with a six-speed manual gearbox and limited slip differential. For improved aerodynamics the Audi A1 has 19 inch wheels with wheel covers. The acceleration has been improved to 4.5 seconds from 0-100km/h.

  1. why would anyone want to go that fast in a matchbox?

and i bet with that money it costs you could get atleast an M5.

so this car is just pointless.

  2. The most important point of this car is missing in this article:

MTM swapped the engine to the 2.5l 5cy from the TT-RS!
