Spyshots 2012 Porsche 911 (991) Caught Virtually Undisguised

Our friends at Teamspeed have revealed brand new spyshots of a virtually undisguised next-generation Porsche 911 (991) close to the Porsche Stuttgart factory. The quality of these shots is probably the best we will see before the official release of the 991 Carrera and Carrera S in September at the IAA 2011.

Let’s do a recap of all the information currently available. The next 911 will be 4.49 meters long – 56mm more than the current model with 10mm extra wheelbase. The car will also stand 11mm lower. The stock power plant is a 3.4 liter entry-level Boxer engine providing an output of 350hp, a 0 to 100km/h sprint time of 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 289km/h in the Carrera. The Carrera S offers 395hp, while the 911 Turbo is rumored to have an output of approximately 542hp. Each engine is paired to a seven-speed manual or an optional seven-speed PDK.

  1. Among Porsche employees there are some rumors – according to them the GT3 will get a completly new developed engine which si supposed to do over 10,000 RPM ;)

  2. Porsche designers must have the most boring job in the world. I don’t see any major changes to the 997 and I’m simply bored of that car. Waiting for the 918 Spyder and no other Porsche.

  3. LUKE is so right, 911’s look is now totally surviving on the ancient past and stickers and can some1 recall how many editions of the current model came out? No doubt its a wonderful drive but damn they really need to be more creative and stylish with the way it looks!
