Video Nürburgring Nordschleife in a Formula Race Car

This following video shows Andreas “Andy” Gülden, chief instructor at the Nurburgring Driving Academy, doing a quick lap on a wet track in a Formula race car. Normally that would ask for some special skills, but he is not driving drifting on a ‘standard’ race track but the 20km-long Nürburgring Nordschleife, which makes it all a bit harder.

The footage and the race car are part of a drivers training program called Nurburgring Formel Super Racing. The video was made about a week ago.

  1. Usaually people that tries to go fast on the green hell tends to record the lap times so it is not as good as one should think of a F1.

  2. It is Formula BMW. I don’t want to belittle Andreas’ talent, but nothing amazing about his driving. He know the track like the back of his hand and the car has 1171 cc bike engine with 140hp. It weights around 450kg. I’ve seen guys withe Caterham R500 driving faster on wet. Now that’s amazing!
