Audi Germany has released more pictures and a promotional trailer for the new 2012 Audi S8, the new luxurious high-performance version of the company’s flagship car.
The large, luxurious sedan is powered by a new 4.0 TFSI twin-turbo V8 engine which provides no less than 520hp and a constant 650Nm of torque between 1,700 and 5,500rpm. The engine is linked to an eight-speed tiptronic gearbox. A sprint from zero to 100km/h takes just 4.2 seconds and the top speed is electronically limited at 250km/h.
The Audi S8 will be officialy unveiled at the IAA in Frankfurt next week. The new head of the Audi S model family will enter market in Spring 2012. Pricing is not yet available at this stage.
