Polish Supercar De Veno Arrinera Ready for Production

With the help of Lee Noble, the Polish supercar De Veno Arrinera is ready for production. The first prototype is completed and being tested, which implies that the Arrinera could be ready for production within twelve months.

Lee Noble is a British entrepreneur, car designer and engineer. He is the designer of some low-volume sports cars, including the Ultima and the first Ascari. In 1999 he founded Noble Automotive and designed many supercars, including the Noble M600. Lee Noble left his company in 2008 and announced his new venture, Fenix Automotive in 2009.

Polish company Arrinera Automotive joined forces with the British engineer and together they developed the De Veno Arrinera. Noble is currently a member of the supervisory board and a shareholder in Arrinera Automotive S.A. He will be responsible for technical aspects related to the supercar as well as for the design and production of the rolling chassis.

The car body styling is characterized by sharp and dynamic lines, which reminds us of the Lamborghini Reventón and Aventador. The front of the car is close to the ground which vastly improves its aerodynamic properties. Two air intakes allow cooling air to be directed onto the hot brakes. The cab-forward design is the result of the central positioning of the engine. The back of the car, the large diffuser and centrally mounted exhausts are designed to resemble the exhaust nozzles of a jet airplane.

The chassis designed by Lee Noble will be made of variable-section high-strength steel and, as the company claims, it is extremely light while at the same time it offers exceptional deformation resistance. As an option, the car’s body, interior and floor can be made out of carbon/Kevlar composite materials. The sports car also features an all-around multilink suspension which is optimized for high speed cornering.

The cabin can be opened via upwards-opening doors. On the inside, elements will be made of high quality leather and composite materials. The car is equipped with an audio system, electric windows, electric mirrors and air conditioning. Even a night vision camera is optional.

The Lamborghini-styled De Veno Arrinera is powered by a mid-mounted 6.2 liter V8 which provides 650 horsepower and a maximum torque of 820Nm. The car weighs only 1,300kg, so the power-to-weight ratio is 2.0kg/hp). Thanks to this, the Arrinera is able to accelerate from standstill to 100km/h in 3.2 seconds. The 200km/h barrier is be passed in 8.9 seconds and the top speed is 340km/h.

For braking power, the front wheels are equipped with six-piston calipers and 380mm brake discs and four-piston calipers and 350mm brake discs for the rear wheels. These are located within 19-inch light-alloy wheels with 255/35 R19 tires at the front and 335/30 R19 at the rear.

The new supercar will be made in Poland. Pricing for the Arrinera is expected to start at around ₤ 100,000 (€ 115,000 or $ 158,500). Furthermore, Arrinera Automotive announced they will begin on a new car in the so-called ‘fun car’ segment. It will be an open single- or two seat car weighing in at under 500kg and powered by an unspecified engine delivering from 200hp to 300hp. Its price should not exceed ₤ 70,000 (€ 80,000 or $ 108,000). The Polish-British company is very ambitious and expects to sell 600-700 cars a year.
