North American company Maxximus has announced a new supercar, called the Prodigy. The vehicle will run on LNG, or Liquid Natural Gas, and will be powered by a proprietary 330 ci engine, equipped with twin turbochargers developing 2,000hp. It will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.1 seconds and to go from 0 to 100mph and back to zero in just 8.9 seconds.
The engine is connected to a hybrid all-wheel-drive system via a six-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters and features CNC billet block and heads, 4 valves per cylinder, and LNG direct injection.
The basic setup of the Prodigy is a carbon fiber body and Chromalloy chassis. Carbon ceramic brakes, ceramic wheel bearings, a height adjustable suspension system and an active front wing are part of the package. On the inside you will get a Macintosh sound system, satellite navigation, and climate control.
Expected price tag for the Maxximus Prodigy price will be $ 1 million USD.
Great article! This is still one of my favorite designs I have done to date. Can't wait to see this car built!
