Following news that Gemballa Racing has purchased two McLaren MP4-12C GT3 cars for the 2012 motorsport season, Team Manager, Sascha Bert, has today confirmed that Zakspeed will assume the team’s technical, logistical and administrative tasks with immediate effect.
A former German kart champion, Formula 3 and FIA GT driver, Sascha Bert has numerous victories and a Nürburgring 24 Hours podium finish under his belt. Zakspeed has been a familiar name at the highest levels of international motor sport for many years.
Gemballa Racing’s two McLaren MP4-12C GT3s will debut in the 2012 ADAC GT Masters series, and will also enter selected 24-hour races. Sascha Bert has been confirmed as one of the drivers, and the others will be announced shortly.
