And then only 599 were left! The first Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 was wrecked near the Nurburgring on the 31st of October. Only three pictures were released showing a white Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0, a red Porsche 911 GT3 RS MkII with red decals and a wrecked Chevrolet.

Both Porsche’s received extensive damage. The accident happend close to Nurburg. A drunk driver, 39-years-old, crashed his Chevrolet head-first into the first oncoming Porsche. Immediately after the first collision, he met with the left side of the second Porsche. The accident happened near Kempernich on a main road from the A61 Autobahn in the direction of the Nürburgring.

The local police took a blood sample of the drunken driver and secured his license. He and the driver of the first Porsche suffered minor injuries. The three vehicles are an economic total loss. The police estimates the total damage at around € 250,000.

  1. 599? I thought the 4.0 was limited to 500 units?
    Anyway a bad crash. As much as I don’t like Porsche the GT3RS 4.0 is a cool car. Luckily nobody was injured.
