SSC Tuatara Celebrates Middle-East Debut at Dubai Motor Show 2011

The new SSC Tuatara celebrates its Middle-Eastern debut at the Dubai Motor Show 2011 that kicks off today. The record car by Shelby SuperCars saw its Asian debut in Shanghai this summer.
The SSC Tuatara is powered by a 6.8 liter DOHC V8 twin-turbo which delivers approximately 1,350hp. The SSC Tuatara weighs only 1200kg and is RWD. Putting the power-to-weight ratio, even with fluids and the quivering driver strapped aboard, is will exceed 1,000hp per tonne. 0-60? SSC claims 2.8 seconds and a maximum speed of 442km/h (275mph).

The specs on the car actually report 2.5 seconds 0-100kph
Calm down. It’s 0.3 seconds slower than the Veyron SS and it has RWD instead of AWD. I’d like to see the Veyron do that with only RWD.
0-96km/h only 2.8 seconds? That is a lame acceleration. Bugatti Veyron SS is much better and faster car. I’ll take Bugatti.
