A big crash during the Macua 2011 GT Cup championship races this weekend. Macua is the only street circuit racing event on the calendar where both car and motorcycle races are held.
The crash happened during lap three of the GT Cup with among the participating cars Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Audi R8s and Ford GTs. The crash involved several cars but luckily no driver was seriously injured. The video below might make you wonder why the cars didn’t slow down at the yellow flags but at 0:30 you can see the Audi R8 is leaking some kind of fluid which made the track extremely slippery and prevented the drivers to brake without spinning.
