Following our yearly tradition its time to present the nominees for the GTspirit Awards 2011. This year we have added two more Awards: Hypercar of the Year 2011 and Supercar Photo of the Year 2011 next to our Awards for Supercar of the Year 2011, Tuner of the Year 2011 and Tuning Car of the Year 2011.

The nominees for all our categories have been selected based on votes from our editorial team and this year two prizes per category will be awarded, one Readers Choice Award based on the public vote below and one Editorial Award based on the opinions of our editorial team. All hypercars, supercars and tuning cars which had their first customer deliveries this year qualified to be nominated. The awards will be awarded on January 10th 2012 when the polls are closed.

Here is our list of this years three nominees for the Hypercar of the Year title. Cast your vote below!

Aston Martin One-77

Aston Martin One-77

The Aston Martin One-77 is one of three true hypercars delivered to the first customers this year. With its huge price tag and recorded top speed of 220mph its the fastest and most special Aston Martin on sale today. The limited edition is powered by a 7.3 liter V12 engine which is good for 750hp. It propels the unique hypercar forward from standstill to 100km/h in just 3,5 seconds. With a price tag of € 1,400,000 the Aston Martin One-77 is our most expensive nominee for the title of Hypercar of the Year 2011.

Koenigsegg Agera R

Koenigsegg Agera R

The Koenigsegg Agera R truly deserves the hypercar tag! The power output of the 5.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine is 1,115hp and it produces 1,000Nm of torque from 2,700 to 6,170rpm with a maximum torque of 1,200Nm at 4,100rpm. The acceleration figures are breathtaking with 0-100km/h in 2.9, 0-200km/h in 7.5 and 0-200-0km/h in 12.7 seconds. Recently the Koenigsegg Agera R also set the Guiness Book Record for fastest car from 0-300-0km/h in 21.19 seconds. The Koenigsegg Agera R costs € 1,177,000.

Pagani Huayra

Pagani Huayra

The Pagani Huayra is the successor of the legendary Pagani Zonda. The 7.3 liter V12 NA AMG engine has been swapped for a 6.0 liter twin-turbo V12 also from AMG. The power output of this new twin-turbo engine is an impressive 700 horsepower and 1,000Nm of torque. With a price tag of € 825,000 the Pagani Huayra is the cheapest hypercar nominated for this year’s title.

  1. If you have driven the Huayra and Aventador you will agree that the Huayra and the other two cars mentioned here are in a different league, hence the hypercar category for these three cars.

  2. The Aston is the most beautiful, the Pagani is the most inovative, but for all out brutality, the Koenigsegg takes it, for me. The Pagani is a very close second.

  3. gtspirit,i think you made a little mistake on the nominees,Aventador has equal if not better performance to the cars above .The only diferrence is in the price tag .the lambo is winning the supercar11′ award with over 2.000 votes handicap to the second nominee,just ridicolous ,it had “hypercar” writte all over it.
