GTspirit.com and the Vienna-based 2SC owner’s club have received the first official pictures of the Aston Martin V12 Zagato production-ready model. The four pictures shared with us follow after a video shot at a special event where 2 Second Club (2SC) was attending the unveiling of the new Aston Martin Zagato racer in Vienna.

The event was only for a select amount of people, and Aston Martin had a nice presentation about how to place an order and what options are included. The 400,000 Euro production model of the Aston Martin V12 Zagato is heading to Kuwait for its official release. The first production V12 Zagato will debut at the Kuwait Concours d’ Elegance on 15-18 February.

Both partners – Zagato and Aston Martin – are reviving a collaboration which has produced some of the most beautiful and sought-after cars in the world, the partnership takes inspiration from the past, to create a modern descendent of classics such as the DB4GT Zagato, V8 Vantage Zagato and DB7 Zagato. The Aston Martin V12 Zagato is the latest member in this lineup and if these pictures completely resemble the final car that will be released in Kuwait, it will look excellent expect for the wing at the back.

The exterior picture resembles the two pictures released by Aston Martin last year showing only the front of the car. The main difference is that we now have a clear look at the rear of the limited sports car, where Zagato and Aston Martin redesigned the exhaust tips, rear diffuser and rear indicator lights. The car maker also added a rear wing to ensure enough downforce. At the sides of the car the open side vents of the racer have been replaced with more modest versions and the silver horizontal line is more prominetent. The plastic racing windows have been replaced by normal road-going versions.

Exclusive First Official Pictures Production Aston Martin V12 Zagato 01

The interior pictures show a design, which is quite similar to the V12 Vantage on which the V12 Zagato is based. Some differences are easily noticeable, such as the signature Zagato badges on the racing seats and the leather wave pattern used for the roof, door panels, seats and in the rear of the interior. You can also see some parts of the roll cage, the carbon fiber seats and the carbon fiber panels used for the center console. There is also a manually transmission. According to our source, the petrol tank is smaller than the racer and similar to the V12 Vantage.

The V12 Zagato will be powered by a 6.0 liter V12 engine producing 510bhp and 570Nm of torque. The V12 Zagato is being offered for sale at £ 330,000 (excluding taxes) and will go into strictly limited production of up to 150 cars this summer. Fifty years on from the introduction of the iconic DB4GT Zagato, Aston Martin and Zagato have collaborated to create this modern interpretation which remains true to the focus of craftsmanship, performance and exclusivity which underpinned the original collaboration.

Stay tuned for more in the coming weeks when we bring you the first live pictures straight from Kuwait Concours d’ Elegance.
