Turin-based styling house Stile Bertone has released a small series of sketches teasing their upcoming Nuccio Concept car ahead of the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March. According to the information released by the Italians, the Nuccio will be based on a mid-engine platform. The concept will also commemorate the company’s 100-year anniversary.

The company was founded in 1912 (as Carrozzeria Bertone) by Giovanni Bertone, with his son Nuccio taking over the business after World War II. Nuccio created two separate divisions: Carrozzeria, for building cars, and Stile Bertone, for designing them. The Nuccio concept is named after founder Giovanni Bertone’s son.

The berlinetta concept car will be unveiled at the Swiss event. It will have a pronounced wedge shape that sits very low to the ground. After the show it will be showcased around the world, being scheduled to attend events such as Beijing Motor Show in April, the Museum of Turin in May, Laguna Seca in August. In September, it will return to Italy to make an appearance on a show held in Florence.
