Maserati will unveil the new Maserati GranTurismo Sport at the 2012 Geneva Auto Salon. Details of the new model were unveiled this morning. Performance, aerodynamic and visual enhancements create a new GrantTurismo that slots between the exiting GranTurismo S and the GranTurismo MC Stradale.

Maserati have announced that the new Maserati GranTurismo Sport will get a 460hp 4.7 liter V8; a 10hp increase over the GranTurismo S. This should allow for an increased 0-100km/h time, estimated at 4.8 seconds, and marginal improvements to the cars top speed.

You’ll be able to tell the Sport apart from the rest of the range by its redesigned front bumper. It features a new vent design and houses new headlamps with LED DRL technology. The rear also gets a new set of tail lights with dark tints.

Full specifications will be released closer to the start of the Geneva Auto Salon.
