The second Sportec program, which will make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week, is this Sportec SP 525 package developed for the limited edition Porsche 911 (997) GT3 RS 4.0.

In order to optimise the performance the Swiss engineers installed a sports catalytic converters and an Akrapovic exhaust system. The motronics were then tuned on a dyno and re-programmed. The result of their efforts is 525hp instead of the accumulated 500 horsepower found in the production model. The torque has been increased by around 20 Newton meters to 480Nm. A sprint from zero to 100km/h is now done in 3.8 seconds and the top speed is 315km/h.

In order to get this increased performance onto the tarmac, the Swiss specialists fitted a traction control system from Sportec and a clubsport running gear from Bilstein. The 20 inch large Mono/7 wheel rims with central locking and matching Michelin PS2 Cup tyres ensure the contact with the road.

In addition, the carbon fiber bonnet helps to reduce the car’s overall weight as does the upgraded braking system using ceramic discs. Sportec’s windscreen viewing bars and optical package Sportec-Motorsport are the only visible design changes. As an added option a video box is available for those looking for the ideal lane on a race track.
