Wild-Speed is back with a new series of renderings showing the upcoming 2013 Porsche 911 (991) Turbo Convertible.

Expect Porsche to keep the 3.8 liter flat-six, but replace the twin-turbo system of the 997 Turbo with a complex triple-turbo induction process similar to the systems used by BMW in their brand new M Performance models. The Porsche system uses three individual turbochargers providing a power up to 520hp.

A source also suggests the 911 Turbo will use a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission and Porsche’s new seven-speed manual gearbox. Expect a weight loss over the 997 Turbo too, as well as the new Porsche start-stop system.

For now enjoy the renderings!
