Dutch carbuilder Savage Rivale has released the first footage of their retractable telescopic multi panel roof system, which is an unique folding mechanism used to open and close the roof of the 2012 Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS.
After a year of brainstorming, it’s still in the development stage, but the necessary patent applications have been filed. The system is designed around a telescopic arm which pulls the glass panels (reinforced by carbon fiber sills) to the rear of the car where they are stored and fixed.
The locking mechanisms are placed in the ‘C’ pillars securing a true safety cage. The system is controlled by only one module making it very lightweight and reliable.
