Monaco 2012 Gemballa GT McLaren MP4-12C Aerokit

Gemballa presented their take on the McLaren MP4-12C at Top Marques 2012. Benefiting from their racing experience with the McLaren, the Aerokit package by Gemballa is designed to boost the appearance and aerodynamic properties the British sports car.

The Gemballa GT McLaren MP4-12C Aerokit consists of a new front bumper and spoiler, side skirts, rear apron and a small rear wing, giving the car an improved high-speed stability. These components are fitted to the factory mounting points so the original bodywork is not compromised. This gives the owner of the McLaren also the possibility to revert to the original bodywork (if desired).

The famous German aftermarket specialist also fitted bespoke ultra-light forged alloy wheels in sizes 20 inch at the front and 21 inch at the rear. The Gemballa GT McLaren weighs just 1,434kg, and is powered by a twin-turbo 3.8 liter V8 engine developing 608 horsepower. An engine upgrade programme is currently in the works as well.

  1. OMG, seems the pimps are out re dressing a perfect car with Mattel inspired Hot wheels. McLaren has designed and built a state of the art automobile with thousands of hours of testing and perfecting. How could a small firm with limited experience even possessing a 12C improve upon it?

Seems yet another wanna be tuner keeping their name in the news with degraded technology for more money. The clue here is that the owner can revert their 12C back to stock.

  2. i am a big fan of gemballa but they didn’t improve anything on the 12c IMHO. + those wheels look horrible and so does the interior. this should be a sign to any other tuner company who is thinking about redesigning the 12C- LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE!!
