Lamborghini Estoque

Rumours filtering down from Lamborghini HQ suggest that the Lamborghini Estoque is still being considered as Lamborghini’s expected third model. The concept made its debut back at the Paris Motor Show in 2008, yet, almost four years later, Lamborghini still have not made a decision on the four-door supercar.

With the Lamborghini Urus Concept having just been released, we suspect Lamborghini are holding off making the choice between an SUV and a Saloon until the critics have evaluated. Lamborghini CEO Stefan Winkelmann appears to be leaning more towards the Urus than the Estoque if reports are to be believed. It’s a choice between continuing brand traditions against taking it in a new direction.

Lamborghini currently produce the high-price Lamborghini Aventador and the high-volume Lamborghini Gallardo which will get a replacement soon. Lamborghini want to produce a car that will appeal to a wider audience than the Lamborghini Gallardo.

The Lamborghini Estoque Concept originally housed a 5.2 liter V10 engine, although were it to be produced today, Lamborghini could change that. The one problem with the Estoque was the lack of a suitable platform. Lamborghini would be limited to the Audi A8, Volkswagen Phaeton or Bentley platforms which Winkelmann doesn’t see as suitable.

The question is, which to choose? We’d go with the Lamborghini Estoque if it the choice was purely to be taken on looks. The Estoque Concept definitely contains more Lamborghini magic than the Urus Concept. Do you have a different opinion? Leave your comments in the comments box below!

  1. i like all the lambos very much and i also liked the Urus but i believe that they need to do a third model that can rival the new mclaren with the 800hp and the enzo successor with 920hp cuz sadly they will kill the Aventadorwith the 700 hp.

  2. I prefer the Estoque. It is not only better looking than the Urus but IMO the more logical choise as a family car. I bet 99% of the Cayennes seen on the road have never ever even slightly touched some rougher terrain.
