Yesterday an Audi RS6 was wrecked following a failed armed robbery attempt. The RS6 was used by armed robbers to stop a truck on the E4 at Fredhäll Tunnel in Stockholm. However, the super-saloon was no match for the truck and the thieves succeeded only in ruining their own vehicle. The remains of the car were left on the E4 while the perpetrators fled on foot.

Police are searching for the criminals after they fled the scene, stealing a car at gunpoint from an innocent member of the public. Witnesses say three men got out of the Audi RS6, all three wearing black masks carrying at least one automatic weapon. Twenty police patrol cars and a helicopter were sent to the area, yet the men were not found.

The police reported that the impact sustained by the Audi RS6 was enough to immobilise the vehicle. As far as ram raids go, this one probably goes down in the history books as one of the least successful. Thankfully, nobody was injured.
