Villa d'Este 2012 1933 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS

The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2012, one of the most prestigious car events in the world, has announced its winners from the weekend show at Lake Como in Italy.

The most prestigious prize, the Coppa d’Oro Villa d’Este, went to David Cohen with his 1933 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS, it is a coachbuilt Guiseppe Figoni designed car with a 1,752cc big six in line engine.

Other prizes went to René Rey with his 1935 Avions Voisin C25. The Avions Voisin won the prize for best preserved pre-war car and Mark Finburgh’s 1969 Porsche 917/K was the best preserved post-war car.

Most iconic car was awarded to Lionel Scotto le Massese’s with his 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing Coupé. Last but not least the panel choose a 1975 Lamborghini LP400 Countach as the car with the most exciting design. This car is owned by Paul van Doorne.

  1. Golly Gee GT Spirit … but would it be too much to ask for some photos to go along with the text ( as well as fit the text when they are present ) when it comes to an article on an event like the Villa d’Este ?
